Nashville, Tenn. – Pinecastle Records proudly welcomes GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, and guitar extraordinaire Trey Hensley to its award-winning roster. Known for his jaw-dropping musicianship and soulful storytelling, Hensley is kicking off this new chapter with the release of “Can’t Outrun The Blues” on September 26 across all digital and streaming platforms (pre-save it HERE). The recording is produced by seven-time GRAMMY-winner Brent Maher (The Judds, Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard).
“I’m so excited to be working with Pinecastle and thrilled to get new music out into the world,” says Trey Hensley. “Upon my first meeting with the Pinecastle team, I knew this would be a great fit. I’ve had the vision for this record for a while now, and I’m so excited for the future!”
“Can’t Outrun The Blues” was penned by Hensley and Bobby Starnes, and recorded live in the studio with an all-star lineup of musicians. The fiery track serves as the lead single from his upcoming 2026 full-length album, now in its final stages of production. The edgy acoustic tune builds in intensity from start to finish, spotlighting Trey’s one-of-a-kind guitar skills and powerful vocals. Instrumental credits include Trey Hensley (lead vocals and guitar), Stuart Duncan (fiddle and mandolin), Marc Rogers (bass), John Alvey (drums) and John Cowan (harmony vocals). The song was engineered by Charles Yingling, mixed by Brent Maher and Yingling, and mastered by Yingling. It will begin hitting radio in early September.
