Pinecastle Artists Make Splash In Second Round IBMA Nominations With 77 Advancements
The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) recently released their second round ballots for the upcoming awards and convention. After an amazing year, Pinecastle Records is excited to announce the advancement of dozens of artists, songs and albums. The awards are set to take place in Raleigh, N.C. as part of their popular World of Bluegrass event held from September 26-30.

CURRENT CHART ACTION
Daniel Grindstaff: The current single “Three Arrows” has spent a total of 7 weeks on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart. Peaking at No. 3 so far, it continues to pick up steam.
Danny Paisley: The current single “What Crosses Your Mind” feat. Sage Palser continues its climb. It recently debuted on the Bluegrass Today charts and is gaining momentum on Bluegrass Unlimited as the song climbs to No. 22.
Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road: The band is celebrating a SECOND month at No. 1 on Bluegrass Unlimited’s National Airplay Chart with “A Little Bit of Bluegrass.” The infectious anthem was written by David Stewart and is the title-track to Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road’s latest album. The project also debuted at No. 7 this month on the BU album chart.
Lindley Creek: The Missouri based band has experienced extreme staying power with their previous single “That Page Won’t Turn” on the Roots Music Report charts. To date, it’s spent an impressive 13 weeks on the Contemporary Bluegrass chart, currently at No. 17, even 21 months after its original release.
The Goodwin Brothers: The Kentucky based group has a Grassicana hit on their hands with “Everyday Thing.” The track has continued to chart high following its spring release and has spent a total of five weeks inside the Top Ten of the Bluegrass Today Roots-oriented chart.
The King James Boys: The band’s single “The Devil’s Not Afraid of a Dust Covered Bible” has proven to be one of the South Carolina based band’s biggest hits ever. It’s spent 3 weeks at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Today Gospel Airplay Chart and also hit No. 1 on the CDX Positive Country Chart – their first to do so. Even this week, it’s at No. 10 several months after its initial release.
Tim Raybon Band: The early 2023 single “Can’t Get Away From This Broken Heart” has proven to be one of Raybon’s biggest hits to date. In addition to spending multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart, it has spent a total of 8 weeks inside the Top Ten. The new single “I Could Get Used To This” just debuted at No. 19 this week.
Wilson Banjo Co: The Steve Wilson led band has been running it up on the Roots Music Report Traditional Bluegrass Songs chart in 2023. The band has been consistently in the Top Ten EVERY week of 2023 so far, with hit singles like “Issaqueena,” “Sadie Danced A Hole In Her Stocking” and “Tomorrow’s Coming Fast.” Their album Six Degrees of Separation has spent a total of 24 weeks overall in the Traditional Bluegrass Album chart’s Top Ten – currently at No. 5.
