Digital 5-Pack Brings Together Gilman’s First 5 Bluegrass Hits
Nashville, Tenn. – Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Billy Gilman has officially released his debut Bluegrass EP Delta Queen, available today on all digital and streaming platforms via Pinecastle Records (listen HERE). The project marks a milestone moment in Gilman’s Bluegrass journey, pulling together his first five charting singles and resulting in his debut album in the genre.
Showcasing his signature powerhouse vocals and genre-bending style, Delta Queen highlights Gilman’s growing influence in the roots world while giving fans a chance to enjoy all of his Bluegrass recordings in one place for the very first time. “I am super excited about this,” said Gilman. “We didn’t know what kind of reception I would get after I crossed over into Bluegrass. But I am so happy that all of these songs did so well on the charts and resonated so much with the Bluegrass community.”
The Delta Queen EP includes Gilman’s industry-acclaimed “Delta Queen,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart. It also features his acclaimed collaboration with the “Queen of Bluegrass,” Rhonda Vincent, on the fan-favorite “That’s Bluegrass To Me.” Gilman made his entrance into the genre with the upbeat anthem “Roller Coaster,” which shot out of the gate as his first Bluegrass single. Other highlights include the heartfelt “’Til You Come Home” and the moving “Waylon,” released earlier this spring in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Notably, all five tracks were penned by Gilman alongside frequent co-writers Dan Murph and Philip Douglas, underscoring his talent not only as a vocalist but as a songwriter.
A celebrated artist since childhood, Gilman rose to fame with his double platinum-selling debut One Voice, making history as the youngest solo artist to land on the Billboard Top 40 on the Country charts. Over the years, his career has spanned multiple genres and stages, including his standout run as runner-up on NBC’s The Voice.
