Released earlier this spring, Can’t Outrun The Blues has quickly become one of the most talked-about Bluegrass and roots releases of 2026. Produced by seven-time Grammy winner Brent Maher (The Judds, Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard), the album showcases Hensley’s distinctive blend of multiple genre influences while also featuring additional collaborations with Vince Gill, Steve Wariner and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Momentum surrounding the album continues to build following the chart-topping success of the title track “Can’t Outrun The Blues” and the breakout follow-up single “Tucson,” both of which reached No. 1 on the Bluegrass radio charts and helped solidify Hensley’s arrival as a major solo artist.
A two-time IBMA Guitar Player of the Year, Hensley first gained national attention as one half of the award-winning duo RobIckes & Trey Hensley before launching his solo career to widespread acclaim. Over the years, he has shared the stage with a remarkable range of artists including Taj Mahal, Marty Stuart, Tommy Emmanuel and countless others, while earning praise for both his electrifying guitar work and soulful baritone vocals. Fresh off a Grammy win as part of Taj Mahal’s Swingin’ Live at the Church in Tulsa, Hensley continued to build momentum with a packed touring schedule throughout 2026, including festival appearances, international performances and several upcoming shows supporting legendary guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.
Fans can listen to “Going And Gone” now on all major streaming platforms. To stay up to date on new music, tour dates and upcoming announcements, visit Trey Hensley’s official website at www.treyhensley.com.
