Band Continues Red-Hot Momentum Following Recent Chart-Topping Success, Grand Ole Opry Debut and Country Music Hall of Fame Performance
Nashville, Tenn. – Reigning IBMA New Artist of the Year winners Red Camel Collective have released their brand-new single, “Walk Out In The Rain” – out now via Pinecastle Records. The energetic Bluegrass recording puts a fresh twist on the beloved 1970s classic popularized by Eric Clapton, serving as the latest release from the band’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Finding Your Way Home, which they are currently putting the finishing touches on. Fans can download and/or stream “Walk Out In The Rain” on all digital and streaming platforms HERE.
“This classic Bob Dylan tune, covered by Eric Clapton in 1978, had its first bluegrass overhaul when Ronnie and Rob McCoury released it on their self-titled album in 1995,” shares Heather Berry Mabe. “With a catchy upbeat tune and sassy ‘see ya later’ theme, the song lends itself perfectly to a female lead singer. I’m stoked to be the gal for the job!”
Driven by fiery instrumentation and soaring vocals, “Walk Out In The Rain” is another hard-driving Bluegrass tune that perfectly captures the energy Red Camel Collective has quickly become known for. Written by Bob Dylan and Helena Springs, the song originally appeared as the opening track on Eric Clapton’s platinum-selling 1978 album Backless. Red Camel Collective breathe new life into the classic with standout performances from band members Heather Berry Mabe (guitar, lead vocals), Tony Mabe (banjo, guitar, vocals), Johnathan Dillon (mandolin) and Curt Love (bass), joined by special guests Stephen Burwell (fiddle, co-producer) and Jaelee Robberts (harmony vocals). The new release arrives on the heels of the band’s previous single, “Finding Your Way Home,” reaching No. 1 on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart last week, along with the continued success of their smash hit lead single, “In The Mexican Sun.”
Since they began releasing music in 2024 the group has become one of the hottest rising acts in Bluegrass music, blending traditional roots with fresh, modern energy. Their self-titled debut album spent three consecutive months at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Album Chart, helping earn the band the prestigious IBMA New Artist of the Year honor. Heather Berry Mabe also received the 2024 IBMA Momentum Vocalist of the Year award before being named SPBGMA Female Vocalist of the Year earlier this year. In February 2026, the band made their celebrated Grand Ole Opry debut, earning a standing ovation, and earlier this month they performed at the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Ford Theater in Nashville. The remainder of 2026 will see the band continuing to branch out on their own with several major appearances and tour dates already scheduled nationwide.
