Wilson Banjo Co. Releases Edgy New Single “Holler” Co-Written by Jordan Rainer and Bill Packard

Nashville, Tenn. – Wilson Banjo Co. is excited to unveil their brand new single, “Holler.” The edgy anthem serves as the latest release from their next full-length project coming later this year via Pinecastle Records. It centers around lead singer Sarah Logan’s celebrated vocals, alongside banjo extraordinaire Steve Wilson’s playing, production and arrangement. “Holler” is available for download and/or streaming HERE.

“Holler” spoke to us immediately and we couldn’t wait to get to work on it. It truly felt like co-writer Jordan Rainer wrote it just for us, and we were excited to record another one of her songs,” says Wilson. “Sarah’s deep Appalachian timbre embraced the story while the band backed her with drive and purpose to achieve the most compelling delivery. We are all proud of how it turned out and hope everyone enjoys the journey.”

Jordan Rainer previously co-wrote Wilson Banjo Co.’s 2021 hit “When the Crow Comes Down.” The tune went on to become a staple at radio. In addition to spending 26 weeks in the Top Ten on Roots Music Report’s Bluegrass radio airplay chart, it garnered airplay on SiriusXM’s Bluegrass Junction, FM stations, streaming radio and beyond. “Holler” is in a similar vein, taking a darker approach with some down-home lyrics that fans will relate to. The video has already been filmed as well, which fans can keep an eye out for over the next few weeks. Joining Wilson Banjo Co. members Sarah Logan (lead vocals) and Steve Wilson (banjo) are Milom Williams (mandolin and baritone vocals), Glen Crain (dobro), Tony Wray (guitar and bass), Deanie Richardson (fiddle) and Melanie Wilson (tenor vocals). Vents Magazine complimented the single by saying, “Holler” is something that isn’t often seen in the Bluegrass world, but that’s not stopping Wilson Banjo Co. from taking their sound to the forefront of the genre.”

As 2023 continues to roll on, Wilson Banjo Co. is also nominated for multiple Upstate Music Awards for a second year in a row. This year they’re finalists in the “Best Duo/Group” category and “Best Single” for their previous release “Tomorrow’s Coming Fast.” Learn more about the organization and cast your vote on www.upstatemusicawards.com.
