The Garrett Newton Band releases a new single “Bluegrass Barn” to radio.
Available now through Pinecastle Records and Airplay Direct.
“Bluegrass Barn” is the first single from The Garrett Newton Band’s upcoming album, “Pickin’ at the Bluegrass Barn” to be released in April 2019. The song tells what life is like at the Bluegrass Barn, a real venue near the band’s hometown of Garner, N.C. While you’ve probably never visited, the lyrics are written in a way that allow you to think fondly of the local bluegrass pickin’ venue that may be in your neck of the woods. Band member and mentor, Lorraine Jordan wrote the song about the Barn which happens to be where Newton spent his early childhood learning to play the banjo. Along with Garrett, the band features Allen Dyer on lead vocals, Parks Icenhour’s guitar, Daniel Aldridge on mandolin, fiddle player Chris Hill, and Lorraine Jordan on bass. The song will be included on an upcoming single sampler disc being sent to DJs in early November.
