Nashville, Tenn. – Fresh off their recent win for 2025 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) New Artist of the Year, Red Camel Collective is kicking off a new era with the release of their brand-new single, “In The Mexican Sun.” Serving as the lead single from their upcoming sophomore album (set for release in 2026), the song marks the next exciting chapter for one of the most buzzed-about groups in Bluegrass. The full track is available on all digital and streaming platforms HERE.

Written by Malcolm Pulley, “In The Mexican Sun” is a powerful, soul-stirring reflection on the past, brought to life through the commanding, heartfelt vocals of Heather Berry Mabe. The track weaves vivid storytelling with the band’s signature musicianship, creating a sound that feels both timeless and new. Instrumental credits include: Heather Berry Mabe (Guitar, Vocals), Tony Mabe (Banjo, Vocals), Johnathan Dillon (Mandolin), Curt Love (Bass) and special guest Stephen Burwell (Fiddle).

“This tune is about a woman who has learned through the years to lean on her guitar for solace. Her vices are simply the Mexican sun and good music,” says Heather Berry Mabe.

The release gives fans an early taste of what’s to come from Red Camel Collective’s highly anticipated sophomore album, currently being recorded in the studio now. Known for blending dynamic vocals, seamless harmonies and world-class instrumentation, the band continues to expand their sound while honoring the rich traditions of Bluegrass. Fans can also look forward to the official music video for “In The Mexican Sun,” coming soon.

Comprised of Heather, Tony, Curt and Johnathan, Red Camel Collective has become one of the most celebrated new groups in Bluegrass. Their self-titled debut album spent its first three months at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Album Chart and produced several charting singles, including “Roll On Mississippi,” “Sincerity,” “Last Time I Saw Him” (featuring Suzanne Cox & Sharon White), and “Daughter of the Stars,” which recently became their first No. 1 on the Cashbox Magazine charts. Following critical acclaim and widespread radio success, the band’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric, culminating in their standout performances at IBMA, sharing the stage with Billy Strings and Junior Sisk at the 2025 World of Bluegrass in Chattanooga last month.
