

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Pinecastle Records is proud to celebrate two major victories at the 36th Annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards, held last night in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rising stars Red Camel Collective took home the coveted award for “New Artist of the Year,” while guitar virtuoso Trey Hensley earned “Guitar Player of the Year” for the second time in his career.
It marks another milestone in a whirlwind year for Red Camel Collective, whose debut album soared to No. 1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Album Chart and held the top spot for three consecutive months. With multiple charting singles including “Roll On Mississippi,” “Sincerity,” “Daughter of the Stars” and “Dare to Dream,” the band has quickly become one of the most talked-about new acts in Bluegrass. The honor comes just one year after lead vocalist Heather Berry Mabe earned the IBMA Momentum “Vocalist of the Year” award (2024). The band also features Tony Mabe (banjo, guitar & vocals), Johnathan Dillon (mandolin & vocals) and Curt Love (bass). Looking ahead, the group is gearing up to release the first single from their sophomore album, “In The Mexican Sun,” arriving next month (pre-save it HERE).
Meanwhile, Trey Hensley once again proved why he’s considered one of the finest guitarists of his generation by earning his second IBMA “Guitar Player of the Year” win. Known for his jaw-dropping musicianship and soulful songwriting, Hensley is preparing to release his upcoming solo single, “Can’t Outrun The Blues,” out next Friday, September 26 (pre-save it HERE). Produced by seven-time GRAMMY-winner Brent Maher, the song will serve as the lead track from his upcoming 2026 full-length project. With a career spanning GRAMMY wins and collaborations with legends like Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, EarlScruggs, Dolly Parton and Taj Mahal, Trey Hensley now enters an exciting new chapter.
