Mark Newton and Steve Thomas – “Old McDonald Sold the Farm”

“Old McDonald Sold the Farm,” from Mark Newton and Steve Thomas’s debut album Reborn, ended up at #4 on Bluegrass Today’s Top 30 for 2013 Singles chart after spending four weeks at number one on the Weekly Airplay Chart.  The video was #1 for three weeks on Yallwire’s most watched bluegrass videos and made it to #10 on the site’s most watched videos from all genres.



Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road – “That’s Kentucky”

The hit song “That’s Kentucky,” from Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road’s self-titled Pinecastle debut was a critical success for the band in 2013. The song charted five weeks at #1 on Bluegrass Today’s Weekly Weekly Airplay Chart and twice at #1 on the site’s Monthly Airplay Chart. It is currently #3 on Bluegrass Unlimited’s Top 30 Singles Chart for May 2014.
