Raleigh, N.C. – The International Bluegrass Music Association held their annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards last night in Raleigh, N.C., and multiple Pinecastle artists won big at the event. Among them, awards were won from Dale Ann Bradley, Danny Paisley and Heather Berry Mabe (of Red Camel Collective).
Danny Paisley led the charge by being named IBMA’s “Male Vocalist of the Year,” adding yet another accolade to his impressive career. It’s been a standout year for the Bluegrass Troubadour, who has been riding high on the success of his latest single, “Till Lonesome Comes Around,” with a full album set for release in early 2025. Paisley also delivered a memorable performance alongside The Travelin’ McCourys and an all-star lineup, including Rhonda Vincent, exemplifying the collaborative spirit of bluegrass music. He will headline the Red Hat Amphitheater this weekend, marking the final IBMA event in Raleigh before moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2025.
Dale Ann Bradley added to her distinguished career by winning “Gospel Recording of the Year” for her emotionally powerful song “God Already Has,” written by Brink Brinkman and David Stewart. As a six-time IBMA “Female Vocalist of the Year,” Bradley continues to be a trailblazer in bluegrass music, and this latest honor further cements her status as one of the genre’s leading voices.
Rounding out the victories, Heather Berry Mabe earned an IBMA Momentum Award for “Vocalist of the Year.” Heather also delivered a stunning tribute to the legendary Carter Family, performing alongside Sharon White Skaggs, Cheryl White Jones, and Vickie Vaughn in one of the evening’s standout moments. In addition to touring with the Junior Sisk Band, Mabe has gained national recognition with the formation of Red Camel Collective, whose debut single on Pinecastle Records has been making waves since its release earlier this spring.
These awards underscore Pinecastle Records’ commitment to nurturing exceptional talent within the bluegrass community. To learn more about the International Bluegrass Music Association, visit their official website at www.ibma.org.
