Nashville, Tenn. – It’s officially December, and that means that Christmas is right around the corner. In celebration, Pinecastle Records is excited to reveal FOUR brand new singles just in time for the holidays from Grammy nominated artist Steve Thomas, Bluegrass singer Kim Robins, rising band Lindley Creek, plus an all-star version of “Winter Wonderland” featuring Tony Wray, Tim Crouch and Ethan Burkhardt. Each track captures the true spirit of the season, with every recording’s original message channeling the nostalgia of Christmas. With the official countdown to December 25th underway, also don’t forget about the label’s star-studded project, A Very Acoustic Christmas (details below).

Despite many challenges, 2020 has turned out to be a big year for Steve Thomas. After achieving success alongside his band The Time Machine with their hit album All of These Years, Thomas looks to continue building on that momentum. In celebration, he just unveiled a new holiday tune, “What Child Is This.” Thomas explains, “I love any chance I get to sing about Jesus, and so Christmas time is always a favorite time. I had the pleasure of doing most of this track. I did the singing and played the bass, acoustic guitar and mandolin. I was joined by the wonderful Josh Matheny from The Time Machine on Dobro. We hope this great song will add to the true joy of the season!”

Hitmaker Kim Robins is excited for the release of her first holiday tune, “You and Christmas Cookies.” The original song pays homage to the songstress’ Indiana roots, which serve as a major inspiration for recording the track. Having been around for many years perfecting her craft and unique sound, Robins has performed at countless festivals and venues over the years alongside her world-class band 40 Years Late. Following the release of her first record via Pinecastle Records in 2017, the critically-acclaimed vocalist quickly burst onto the national scene. Raining in Baltimore quickly helped propel the singer/songwriter into the spotlight, and primed for the next chapter of her career.

Missouri-Ozarks based band Lindley Creek is getting into the holiday spirit with the release of their brand new recording, “Everyone’s a Kid at Christmas.” Released via Pinecastle Records, it was produced by Jim VanCleve and was written by Barry Lyn Ricks and Timothy Joe Stafford. “Everyone’s a Kid at Christmas” is a slower, feel-good recording that showcases lead singer Katie Greer’s powerhouse vocals. It features lyrics that are very relatable with a unique and festive vibe throughout. The song stays true to the band’s sound, which has been defined by their breakout success in 2020.

The final new release via Pinecastle Records comes in the form of the Christmas staple “Winter Wonderland.” The instrumental acoustic take on the track brings together Tony Wray, Tim Crouch and Ethan Burkhardt, who all lend their unique musicianship to the song. The jazzy version features a relaxing tone that is sure to set the mood for a festive season.

Continuing to deck the halls, Pinecastle’s popular project, A Very Acoustic Christmas is also available. Originally released in 2018, the collection includes some of the biggest holiday staples of all time, tackled with a unique acoustic approach. It includes re-imagined takes on “Silent Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Angels We Have Heard on High” and more. The star-studded collection includes appearances from Dale Ann Bradley & Tina Adair, Merle Monroe, Richard Bennett & Ethan Burkhardt, Clay Hess, Flashback, Ray Cardwell and Tony Wray.
