Nashville, Tenn. – Pinecastle Records recording artist’s Nick Chandler and Delivered are excited to unveil their latest single. The track, “I Don’t Wanna Be Me Anymore” will serve as the North Carolina based group’s latest release from their forthcoming album, set for release later this year. Joining Chandler on the track are Delivered band members Zach McCracken, Gary Trivette and Hudson Bosworth. The hard-driving tune is available for download and/or streaming HERE.
“I am so excited to finally release this great song. David Stewart has written so many great tunes and we are proud to record one of them,” says Nick Chandler. “I really like how this song is traditional Bluegrass with a little different feel than what we normally record. I think it’s very important to continue to grow and progress as a band to keep the fans interested in your music. It’s fun to work on new songs that may not be in your usual lane but still traditional Bluegrass with a twist.”
He adds, “This is a special song for us because it is the first recorded project we were able to do after my bout with Covid. After being sick for so long I was not sure if I would ever get to record again. I’m so thankful to my band and Pinecastle Records for sticking by me. I hope everyone enjoys ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Me Anymore.’”
Written by hit songwriter David Stewart, from the opening sequence of “I Don’t Wanna Be Me Anymore,” it’s obvious that it stays true to the group’s distinctly defined sound, which pays tribute to traditional Bluegrass with a modern approach. The lyrics tackle an array of subjects, centering around the idea of how sometimes life can knock you down, but part of the journey is picking yourself up and carrying on. Nick Chandler and Delivered have also recently filmed the official video for the single, which is expected to be released in the next couple of weeks.
The latest song serves as the follow-up to the previous single “Slowly Getting You Out Of The Way” which went on to peak inside the Top Ten on Bluegrass Today’s Weekly Airplay Chart. Released last fall, it was the group’s first offering after signing with Pinecastle Records. It was also met with high praise, receiving significant airplay across the board.
