Dale Ann Bradley has shot a video for her hit song “Blackberry Summer.” The video was filmed on location at Taylor’s Mill in Taylors, SC by Bonfire Studio’s videography team. The song is just one of the latest to chart from her self-titled album released in August of 2017. Since the release of the album, she has been nominated for “Female Vocalist of the Year” by the IBMA, an award she has won five times previously, and nominated for SPBGMA’s “Female Vocalist of the Year (Overall)”.
Bradley describes being “haunted” by the song “Blackberry Summer” for years before she finally recorded it. She revealed this during her recently recorded “Behind the Song” commentary on the song. Each song from her recent album has its own short story-segment which are available for preview and download on AirPlay Direct.
On May 11th, Bradley will be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame along with David “Stringbean” Akeman, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jackie DeShannon, Jason Crabb and Bobby Lewis. The ceremony will be held at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, KY.
In March, Bradley will head back into the studio, this time at Pinecastle’s own Bonfire Recording Studio, to begin work on her next solo album. She is also a member of the all-female bluegrass supergroup Sister Sadie who is in the process of recording their followup Pinecastle album.
