Pinecastle is proud to announce the release of Flashback’s debut album Foxhounds and Fiddles. The band is made up of five bluegrass music veterans, each with decades of experience: Phil Leadbetter, Don Rigsby, Richard Bennett, Curt Chapman and Stuart Wyrick. The band was named after the classic 1994 J.D. Crowe album Flashback, which members of the band played on and toured with Crowe. Several singles have already been on the radio charts including the title track. Currently their song “Georgia Backroads” debuts on the Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart. Bluegrass Today has recently been running a video series with performances and an interview shot live in studio where fans can see the band’s perspective on creating the album as well as how fantastic this group is performing live together.

“This recording went down easier than anything I’ve ever been a part of,” says Phil Leadbetter. “Everyone in the group is so excited about this album, and we’re all looking forward to see what the future holds.”

The band is hosting a CD release party at The Station Inn in Nashville, Tenn. on Saturday, April 29th at 9pm.

“These guys have over a hundred years, collectively, playing music and performing, and I’ve heard them in different configurations that have produced some great music.  This configuration is something special!  The choice of material and their arrangements are spot-on and really give them an identity, along with the unmistakable vocals of Richard Bennett and Don Rigsby (they really sound good together)!  I would list some favorite cuts from the recording, but I would probably wind up listing all of them!  If you don’t have a copy of ‘FOXHOUNDS AND FIDDLES’ yet…get one!  You need it for your Bluegrass CD collection!” – Russell Moore
