“I love songs that are steeped in nostalgia,” says Mosley. “I wrote this song from the perspective of someone who is surprised at how quickly the years passed and how, in the moment, we rarely recognize the experiences that will shape our lives the most.”

“When The Good Old Days Were New” is a song written solely by Mosley and showcases the Tennessee native’s distinctive storytelling ability. This touching tale traces the life journey of a World War II veteran, portrayed through Mosley’s unique narrative style. His writing is complete with surprising twists and inspiring lyrics that truly stir emotions. In true Daryl Mosley fashion, the vocals are laid-back and stay true to the singer’s defined sound. While also playing bass, he’s accompanied by remarkable musical contributions from Jaelee Roberts (harmony vocals), Danny Roberts (mandolin), Jamie Harper (fiddle) and Tony Wray (guitar and banjo).

Mosley is set to share his passion for Bluegrass in exciting new ways this year, with a line-up of fresh studio material, plus another surprise.
