New Project Also Highlights Americana and Country Influences With 10 New Recordings Written by the Tennessee Native
Nashville, Tenn. – Award-winning singer-songwriter Daryl Mosley has officially released his brand new album Little Moments – out now via Pinecastle Records. The 10-song collection showcases the signature Bluegrass sound that has made Mosley one of the genre’s most respected storytellers, while also exploring new Americana and Country influences throughout the project. Every song on the album was written or co-written by Mosley, continuing his tradition of turning everyday people and experiences into memorable songs. Little Moments is available for purchase and streaming HERE.
The album features Mosley’s current radio single, “I Won’t Drink To That,” a song written solely by Mosley that delivers an important message about knowing what matters most and letting go of the things that can hold us back. The song takes on the subject of overcoming alcoholism with a unique twist, all delivered through Mosley’s unmistakable laid-back style and warm Southern baritone. Firmly rooted in Bluegrass while also being serviced to Americana radio as a crossover single, “I Won’t Drink To That” is currently climbing the charts. Little Moments also features the previously released “She Knew It All,” which has charted on Bluegrass Unlimited, and “One Screen Movie House,” a nostalgic look at the single-screen movie theaters that once served as gathering places in small towns across America.
Mosley is joined on Little Moments by an all-star lineup of musicians, including Danny Roberts on mandolin, Jamie Harper on fiddle, Justin Moses on dobro, Jaelee Roberts on harmony vocals and Tony Wray on guitar, with Mosley providing lead vocals and bass throughout. The album opens with “Corner Of Hopeless,” a song inspired by a conversation Mosley had with a homeless veteran near his hometown of Waverly, Tennessee. The song premiered earlier this week with Vents Magazine. Other standout moments include “The 1900s,” an ode to an earlier and simpler time, and the album’s title track, “Little Moments,” co-written with Rick Lang. The latter showcases a more Americana-leaning side of Mosley with a nostalgic Country twist.
The projecthas already received praise from media, with critics highlighting Mosley’s songwriting and the album’s blend of traditional and modern sounds. Medium.com says that “Little Moments proves once again that his well of great songs is nowhere near running dry,” while Indie Shark Music Magazine exclaims “It’s got that easy-listening warmth Daryl is famous for, mixed with a modern bluegrass edge that keeps your toes tapping.” The Hollywood Digest agrees, stating “By blending modern sonic clarity with a deep respect for narrative songcraft, Daryl Mosley has delivered a profoundly comforting, artfully executed record that deserves a place among the year’s finest bluegrass offerings.”
