Nashville, Tenn. – With 2021 now in full swing, reigning IBMA “Male Vocalist of the Year” Danny Paisley is excited to unveil a brand new single. The recording is titled “Blink of an Eye,” and serves as the first offering from the Bluegrass singer’s upcoming album, Bluegrass Troubadour, set for release this spring. The upcoming project marks Paisley’s first collection released via Pinecastle Records, alongside his world-class band The Southern Grass. Fans can download and stream the new single HERE.

“Blink of an Eye” is an upbeat recording that spotlights the chart-topping singer’s traditional voice, while also showcasing Paisley’s band, The Southern Grass. It was written by Robert Amos. With Danny Paisley on guitar, the band continues the family tradition adding Danny’s son Ryan Paisley on mandolin, serving as the next generation of up-and-coming pickers. Southern Grass also consists of TJ Lundy as the band’s fiddler, Mark Delaney on banjo, and Bobby Lundy on bass.

Since Danny’s father Bob Paisley (founder of Southern Grass) passed away in 2004, Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass have made their own niche in the bluegrass world. Their album, The Room Over Mine, earned accolades and significant chart action, with the song “Don’t Throw Mama’s Flowers Away” winning the 2009 IBMA Award for “Song of the Year,” while garnering several other IBMA nominations for “Emerging Artist of The Year” and “Album of the Year.” Danny is also a two-time “Male Vocalist of the Year” IBMA winner as well.
