Grammy Award Winner Clay Hess Unveils New Video for “Anita You’re Dreaming” Exclusively on The Boot
Nashville, Tenn. – The anticipation continues to build for The Clay Hess Band, who are set to release their new album Just Another Story on July 20 via Pinecastle Records. They are giving fans an inside-look of the project with their video for “Anita You’re Dreaming,” which premiered exclusively on The Boot (watch here). Fans can pre-order the highly anticipated album here.
“I first heard this song when I was a kid,” Hess told The Boot. “Something about that melody paired with the ease of the vocal grabbed me then, and still hangs on today.”
The song, “Anita You’re Dreaming,” was originally made famous by Waylon Jennings when he released it in 1965. On the new Bluegrass version by The Clay Hess Band, the chart-toppers carry on the same spirit as the original, but with their signature American Music flair. Led by Ohio-native Clay Hess, the new recording is heavily inspired by the singer’s time playing with Country/Bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs. Shot on-location in North Carolina, the video was filmed at the Mill Spring Agricultural Center, a former 30,000 square foot school used since the 1920’s, but later abandoned in 1998.
Just Another Story also includes the lead single, “Cold and Lonely” released earlier this year. Fans can also catch The Clay Hess Band on tour, playing shows throughout North American. In addition to hearing new songs live for the very first time, attendees will also be able to purchase a copy of the new album and meet the band.
