Eastern North Carolina native Brad Hudson’s first solo project Next New Heartbreak is set to release November 3rd, 2017 on Pinecastle Records. The debut album is backed by various industry legends, including powerhouse Dolly Parton. Although this will be the Raleigh born artist’s first solo project, Hudson is anything but new to the recording and performing scene. Personnel on Next New Heartbreak includes: Brad Hudson, Steve Dilling, Skip Cherryholmes, Jason Moore, Aaron Ramsey, Ron Stewart, Clyde Mattocks, Brad’s Grandma Betty, Jeff and Sheri Easter, and Dolly Parton.

Brad Hudson said, “It’s such an honor and dream come true to be releasing my first solo project with Pinecastle Records. I would like to thank everyone involved on the project and all the folks along the way that helped make this happen. Finally I get to share my music with you all.”
Hudson’s love for singing and playing music blossomed at the young age of three years old. Initially beginning with guitar, Brad was quick to graduate to the Dobro, banjo and more (he plays Dobro, guitar, brushes, and bass on the album). Growing up in a music rich corner of the country, Hudson could further cultivate his skill and talent in the bluegrass genre. He went on to open for artists like Eric Church and Collin Raye, to tour with praised performers like Dolly Parton and Grammy award winners Jeff & Sheri Easter. After being a fan for years, Hudson moved from the crowd to the stage when he was even given the opportunity to travel the U.S. and Canada performing with Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road. During this time he was nominated for Dobro player and bass player of the year. Currently, Brad can be found singing lead and tenor vocals and playing Dobro for Sideline, playing close to 200 dates every year.
