Track Set to Appear on Forthcoming Album ‘I’ll Just Drive’ – Available June 6 via Pinecastle Records
Nashville, Tenn. – Rising Bluegrass artist Ashleigh Graham continues to showcase her versatility with the release of her brand-new Gospel-infused single “Soldiers of Heaven,” available now via Pinecastle Records. The heartfelt track marks a powerful moment in Graham’s musical journey, blending spiritual depth with her signature Bluegrass sound. The single will also be featured on her highly anticipated upcoming album, I’ll Just Drive, slated for release on June 6. Fans can download and/or stream the new recording on all digital and streaming platforms HERE.
Co-written by Ashleigh Graham and award-winning songwriter Mark Brinkman, “Soldiers of Heaven” delivers a message of redemption and purpose, offering hope to those facing life’s most difficult moments. With its moving lyrics and soaring melodies, the song is a standout among Graham’s recent releases, including the mainstream Bluegrass single “Who We Were Back Then” featuring Russell Moore. The new track features Ashleigh on lead vocals and mandolin, Scott Patrick on guitar, Eli Johnston on banjo and harmony vocals, Stephen Burwell on fiddle, Kameron Keller on upright bass and harmony vocals from John Meador. The song was produced by Burwell and Johnston, who also helmed the production of the full album.
“I reached out to Brink (Mark) Brinkman after his IBMA ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ win. I had never written a Bluegrass Gospel song before and I wanted to make sure I got it right, all while learning from a master,” shares Ashleigh. “Throughout the Bible, God was able to use broken people to help broken people find their way back to Jesus. Many of the most successful prophets in the Bible weren’t perfect, but had made their fair share of mistakes. In their brokenness they found God, and then God used them to preach.”
She adds, “Again, not because they were perfect, but because they were imperfect. They understood the people in their struggles and were therefore more able to help them. That is what this song is about. I went through a very difficult time in my life several years ago. What gave me hope was knowing God could still use me to help others.”
Originally from North Carolina and now based in East Tennessee, Ashleigh Graham has quickly earned recognition for her honest storytelling, powerful voice, and heartfelt songwriting. Her new album I’ll Just Drive features 12 tracks that highlight both her writing and interpretive skills. Standout moments include the self-penned “Me and My Mandolin,” the Gospel-infused tune “The Life of Jesus,” and her charting debut single “Bless Your Little Heart,” which spent seven weeks on the Roots Music Report charts. Of the 12 tracks, Ashleigh wrote or co-wrote seven songs, collaborating with other writers including Scott Patrick, Rick Lang, Jack White and more.
