Deep in Williamsburg, KY, the heart of Daniel Boone Country, resides a high energy, foot-stomping band named Tidalwave Road. This bluegrass grass crew consists of Ben Parker playing banjo, Carlie Parker singing lead vocals with the mandolin, Daniel Parker on bass, and Robert Sulfridge playing guitar.
Just because Tidalwave Road is in the bluegrass genre doesn’t mean they’re afraid to push the boundaries. They provide a fresh sound by bringing unique instrumentation to the individual members. The band focuses on writing and playing music “their way”, making sure their passion is present in every song. With each member bringing their own sound to the table, Tidalwave Road brings a blend of all the best parts of the members, providing listeners with an experience they’re bound to never forget.
After winning the 2023 SamJam Festival Band Competition, the band signed on with Pinecastle Records to record a 5 song EP called The Bonfire Sessions at Bonfire Recording Studio. The EP was just recently released in May of 2024, and showcases all the band has to offer.
Even though The Bonfire Sessions EP has been out for less than a month, Tidalwave Road shows no signs of slowing down. They are currently diving head first into their first full project with Pinecastle. The band is eager to push themselves beyond their comfort level and cannot wait to share what they are working on.
