Biography

Seeing a lack of music present in their church, The King James Boys formed in 1994 with a mission to blend quartet and congregational church singing, southern gospel, and bluegrass all while spreading the word of God. In the band’s early days, they mainly played in their local church. Soon they began to receive calls asking if the band would play at other small church events and nursing homes in the area. Never turning down a chance to spread the Gospel, The King James Boys continued these local shows until they began to branch out and play larger venues.

In 2017, they released their album, The Little End of Something Big, which showcased tight-knit vocal harmonies, upbeat instrumentals, and creative lyrics. This album pivoted The King James Boys career when a song on the album titled “Somebody Prayed for Me” became their first top charting song.

After the success of The Little End of Something Big, the band was able to tour across the country, playing for large audiences all while sticking true to their roots and spreading the word of God. Shortly after, The King James Boys signed on to Pinecastle Records, where they have had five #1 songs and numerous top 10 songs in both southern gospel and bluegrass gospel.

Drawing inspiration from iconic bands such as The Osborne Brothers, IIIrd Tyme Out, and The Primitive Quartet, The King Jame Boys have recently released their latest album, Get A Transfer, which spent. many months on the Bluegrass charts.
