Nu-Blu's second full length release and first for a record label, The Blu-Disc, features a variety of styles from bluegrass to slightly more country/Americana. The album is packed with soul bearing tunes including "Other Woman's Blues," which is a reply to Dolly Parton's country hit "Jolene" written from Jolene's perspective and "That's Who I'm Supposed to Be." Grassier tunes include "Every Shade of Blue" and "Any Stretch of Blacktop." Throughout the album lead vocal duties trade between Carolyn and Daniel Routh, as well as Levi Austin singing lead on two tracks.
