In May 2010 Nu-Blu self-released Nights along with the single
release, “Spin on the Red Brick Floor.” Radio immediately welcomed the
album as evidenced by it reaching as high as #7 on the Roots Music Bluegrass Report, and spending more than 5 weeks on the Americana Music Associations Top 40
chart as an indie release. 2010 continued to be a landmark year for the
band with the September 2, 2010 announcement by Pinecastle Records that
the label had been purchased and was beginning operations again, and
Nu-Blu would be the first artist signed to the “new” Pinecastle label.
