Pinecastle Records has released  Take Me Back, from The Karl Shiflett & Big Country Show, the band's first album since 2003. The band has been touring nationwide for decades, and fans have highly anticipated new material from the band. "Take Me Back is primarily a collection of tunes I heard and learned while growing up in Texas in the mid-sixties-about 45 years ago,” explains Shiflett. The material covers songs from  legends in bluegrass and country such as  Don Gibson, Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Bob Wills, Faron Young, Willie Nelson and Floyd Tillman.
